Subcultures

For my final major project I will be studying different types of subcultures. My aim to gain a greater understanding of why and where subculture exist. I will be investigating why people chose different subcultures? Is it to rebel or about Self expression? I will be looking into the stereotypes, social factors and the driving force behind it.

I intend to use a range of techniques that I have learnt from my two years at Blackburn college.

Objectives

To examine the origins of cultures and subcultures.

To assess how fashion theories influences different cultures.

Use work-based learning, units 13,14 and my contacts within the community to gain a better understanding with subcultures.
